Description And Objectives

Stop guessing which words work. In this 3-hour intensive workshop, you’ll get hands-on with the engine of your own website. Building on cognitive psychology principles and using generative AI tools as accelerators, we’ll audit your pages in real time. You’ll learn to spot the “invisible friction” that drives customers away—and replace it with microcopy that is clear, reassuring, and engaging.

This is a lab-style session: you’ll leave with rewritten copy (done by you with AI), optimized error messages, and a methodology to test your future content.

  • Rewrite your CTAs
  • Learn how to ensure consistency across all touchpoints
  • Master prompt engineering for UX: how to get ChatGPT or Claude to work for you more efficiently

 

Prerequisites:

No design skills required, but participants must arrive with a website or a specific project they want to improve.

 

Required materials:

  • Access to your current website (or screenshots of your user flows / mockups)
  • A (free or paid) account on an AI tool (ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini) is recommended for the hands-on portion

Training Plan

Workshop format: 30% theory / 70% practice

  1. Audit to identify friction points: live analysis of your pages. Where is cognitive load unnecessary? Which words create anxiety?
  2. Microcopy and buttons: how to reduce friction and maximize engagement.
  3. Humanizing the machine: rewriting system messages (404 errors, form submission confirmations, payment failures). How to turn a dead end into a customer service opportunity.
  4. Quick checklist to ensure your new copy doesn’t block anyone (plain language, inclusive writing, structure).
